By all means you do not have post with all this irish slang. I just thought it would be nice so if people wanted to spruce up their posts a bit they can. (Rising Dusk is set in Dublin, Ireland after all.)
Note: Many different cultures have the same words but they possess entirely different meanings. Please do not take offense.
• How's the craic: How're things?
• Rapid: Groovy
• Bird: Girl
• Jesus, I'm shagged: Wow, I'm tired
• Crisps: Potato chips
• Fag: Cigarette
• Snug: Pub booth
• Jibber: Person who's afraid to try new things
• Cheesed off: Someone who is angry
• Culchie: A country person
• Get pissed: Get drunk
• Strand: Beach
• Cop on: Have some sense
• Plonker: Foolish person
• Arseways: Complete mess / Did it wrong
• Deadly: Awesome
• Banjaxed: Broken
• Bloody: A word used to often when complaining
• Brutal: Terrible
• Dosser: Someone who is lazy
• Eejit: Idiot
• Gaff: House
• Gawk: Stare
• How's the talent: Is there anyone good looking around
• Kip: a nap
• Knackered: Tired
• Massive: Brilliant, Gorgeous.
• Molly coddle: Over protective
