When Edward left, Isabella Swan never thought that she
would recover from the blow. For months she merely existed,
staying alive only for her father Charlie and mother Renee.
Yet, something saved her from the emotional downward spiral
she had been cast into. Jacob Black. The boy she had played
alongside as a child was there for her again, her personal ray
of sunshine in the gloomy darkness of her depression. He was
her saving grace, her best friend, and, little did she know, a
part of the supernatural world that her Edward had been involved
in. After weeks of decidedly dangerous fun with Jacob, Bella's
closeness to him was suddenly cut off. He had become distant,
avoiding her and acting strangely. Even his father, Billy Black,
seemed to be involved. Once again it looked as though Bella
Swan was on her own.

But then, miraculously, Bella managed to find out just what had
changed her dear friend. Jacob was a shifter, able to phase into
the form of a wolf. He was now a part of a pack led by Sam Uley,
whom Jacob had previously thought to be a gang leader rather
than a protector of the town. But now he understood, as did Bella,
who once again found herself living a fairytale, albeit a dangerous
one. The main cause of this perilous danger? Victoria, who had
returned to kill Bella and have her vengeance on Edward for taking
James away from her. The pack was having trouble getting to her,
but soon that would be the least of their worries.

Unbeknownst to Bella or the Quileutes, a much more frightening
danger had arisen. A southern army from Jasper Hale's past was
back, led by the fearsome Maria. The army, more experienced and
deadlier than ever, was directing their war mongering march toward
the small town of Forks, not knowing that the Cullens had moved
elsewhere. Not only that, but the vampire army was allied with an
even more formidable force. Lycans, a lethal pack of them. The two
powerhouses were looking to gather forces to take on and destroy
the Volturi, each for different reasons, but both aiming for the same
goal. They will stop at nothing to accomplish their means, and won't
tolerate defiance. The armies will slaughter anyone and everyone
who gets in their way.

Now the Cullens have returned to Forks, Alice having seen a horrible
depiction of the massive war that was boiling just beneath the surface
of their lives. Though Edward hasn't made their presence known to Bella,
it seems he won't be able to hold out for much longer. Yet, is he willing to
risk her safety with the impending doom? Especially since the Volturi are
not far off from getting involved with the vampire and lycan army.

In this Alternate New Moon, anything and everything can happen. Its up to
you to decide the fate of Flightless Bird.
